Critters of the Gunks is a small business that sells merchandise featuring animals that live in the Shawangunk mountain range. It’s still a bit in-the-works, but the website is live! With every purchase made, money will be given back to charities to help protect the Gunks. In addition, a fun fact booklet will be sent along with the purchased goods.
We were asked to choose a lengthy article to animate and design based off the articles contents. I choose to emulate “glitch” artwork for my article based off the use of sexbots in the dating industry.

Asked to create a fake restaurant concept and then develop and design the branding, this is the branding child of a restaurant called Lacroix. Based in the up-and-coming Hudson, NY Lacroix is a small traditional French cafe and bakery.
Asked to design an app that somehow connects to another form of “smart” technology, this app allows you to create playlists based off your moods. You can customize each playlist by a range of criteria for a better mood-based playlist experience.
The design thesis is a focused exploration of a design idea or area. Students pursue their idea both verbally and visually. Their investigation positions students relative to conventional and contemporary practice. Both visuals and text are formally presented to the design option at the completion of the project.
Graphic Design is a complex, multi-faceted and highly competitive field of communication requiring a synthetic understanding of a broad range of formal, technical, and conceptual issues. The Graphic Design BFA program at SUNY New Paltz is a professional program, accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design(NASAD). The program’s objectives align with the essential competencies defined by NASAD and AIGA, the professional association for design.
